OIS Project

The OIS Project has been designed to promote and support the growth of competitiveness in the regional production system based on innovation by developing and experimenting collaborative actions among the four regional science and technology parks and with the progressive integration of other players involved in business support (industrial associations, districts, etc.) to build a unique integrated system for innovation at the service of the regional manufacturing and research system (Open Innovation System FVG).

The Open Innovation System FVG - OIS FVG – is set to represent a regional innovation "one-stop-shop" that allows coordinated access to the multiplicity of services, tools, activities, projects and funding opportunities offered by the different players who are active throughout the regional territory. OIS has been funded by the FVG Region in compliance with Regional Law 27/2014 (Financial Law 2015), art. 7, paragraphs 16-29, which provides a budget allocation for scientific and technological park operators to finance specific projects, including joint projects, aimed at strengthening scientific research, innovation and technology transfer.

HOW DOES THE OIS PROJECT WORK?

The project works through the shared and synergetic implementation of a structured process to support the design of innovation ideas from individual regional companies, that is, groups of companies or supply chains, with particular focus on those relating to the priority sectors identified by the Smart Regional Specialisation Strategy. The process involves a set of preliminary and added value operational activities that are implemented to define project plans to be put forward in relation to the available incentive measures (regional, national and international):
Innovation scouting, aimed at promoting, bringing out and collecting ideas and needs from regional companies interested in undertaking development and technological innovation paths.
Audit, aimed at analysing and formalising the innovation requirements, verifying the opportunities and potential for development through the activation of customised interventions for in-depth analysis (company visits).
Provision of technical assistance services (technical analysis and brokering), aimed at identifying and/or verifying the development potential of project ideas, outlining technological/market contexts and scenarios and identifying the most suitable competences to develop them.
Technical feasibility, aimed at assessing the technical and economic feasibility of the project through feasibility studies, specialised technical assistance and dimensioning.
Planning (if the feasibility study has given positive results), aimed at perfecting and formalising the detailed development programs to be applied in relation to the available financing measures.
