On Monday 26 June, during the meetings of The International Propellers Club, the final results of the Fer-Net project were presented.

Develop a monitored corridor between the Interport and the Port of Trieste that could result in an extension of the port dock to the Fernetti area: a new prototype of port extension, which will enable the Trieste-Fernetti Interport to act in full continuity with the Port of Trieste, increasing the operational capabilities of the entire Regional Logistics System.
This is the goal of Fer-Net, a unique project of its kind in Italy because it combines two free points (Interporto and Porto). Fer-Net is part of recent trends that are revolutionizing the concept of port, leading to its extension to interports connected to it, to incorporate them.

Co-financed by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region with over € 120,000 in the Por Fesr 2014-2020, Fer-Net involved Info.era Srl (Circle group) and Interporto di Trieste Spa, with the Trieste Port System Authority as a final user, the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Trieste as a scientific partner and the consultancy support of Thrive Srl. The project coordination, dissemination and dissemination of the results of Fer-Net is carried out by Friuli Innovazione.
