History
The Friuli Innovazione Business Incubator was one of 11 incubation projects funded by the Ministry of Economic Development in the exchange of the first call for the law 388/2000. The aim of the call was to promote and activate entrepreneurial training courses in the field of ICT, aimed at the creation, at the regional level, of new high-tech entrepreneurial initiatives.
The project starts in 2004 with the aim of creating new businesses, stimulating the spread of entrepreneurial culture and strengthening the dialectical relationship between universities and the regional economic system, both through the contribution of capital and market relations by the productive universe, both through a greater finalization of the academic research activity to the operative and applicative dimension.
Since 2007 we have been part of the ACHIEVE network which brings together over 70 business incubators, clusters and investors in the ICT sector located in 28 European and extra-European countries.
Since 2009, the Incubator has become a structured service of Friuli Innovazione.
In 2011 he was awarded the ACHIEVE MORE AWARD as the best ICT incubator.
In July 2013 he was among the first in Italy to complete the quality certification process introduced by law 221/2012.
In April 2020 Friuli Innovazione is certified nationally as an Industry 4.0 Technology Transfer Center (CTT).
