MaterialScan S.r.l. was founded in 2015 and was born as a spin-off of the University of Trieste. The main skills of the team composed of materials engineers have been matured in the field of the characterization of materials, nanotechnologies and acoustics applied to the building industry.

The company has developed an innovative and customized system for the continuous monitoring of the health status of structures in the civil and industrial sectors in order to prevent unexpected collapses and therefore to increase the level of building safety. Moreover, being able to count on the support of a specifically equipped laboratory, the company is able to offer a series of fundamental additional services for the characterization and testing of materials.
