NANOCOAT
New materials and nanostructured surface coatings
Technology transfer project funded by Regional Law 26/2005 art.21
The goal is to create a reference point on the regional territory to enhance the technologies developed nationally and internationally by continuously updating companies on the progress of research in the field of nanotechnologies applied to materials and supporting, in this way, the processes of technological innovation.
NanoNet.exe - The network of Excellence in Nanothecnologies - is the network of public and private competence centers able to support companies belonging to different sectors in all phases of research, development and application of these technologies.
NanoNet.exe - The network of Excellence in Nanothecnologies - is the network of public and private competence centers able to support companies belonging to different sectors in all phases of research, development and application of these technologies.
NANOCOAT is a technology transfer and experimental development initiative in the field of nanostructured materials and surface treatments, funded by Article 21 of Regional Law 26/2005 (Innovation Law). The purpose of the initiative is to increase the level of competitiveness of companies located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region by improving the performance characteristics of the materials currently used in production. The reference sectors are:
- Mechanical Industry and Metalworking
- Woodworking Industry
- Plastics / Rubber Industry
- Construction Industry
From an operational point of view, in the first phase of the project, the companies belonging to the various reference sectors were monitored and the applications of interest identified. Cycles of technological seminars were therefore organized, with the aim of giving maximum disclosure of the state of the art, the potential and perspectives of nanotechnologies applied to materials and surface treatments. The applications of greatest interest have been the subject of specific pre-feasibility studies and experiments. The validated results were appropriately disclosed.
In the second phase, some information desks were set up to which companies can turn to improve their products or processes. The counters put companies in contact with the most suitable competence centers of the Nanonet.exe network. Through a dedicated virtual desk, companies can also send their requests via the internet.
In the presence of topics of common interest to several companies, assignments were given for the realization of pre-feasibility studies and / or experimental research.
