Display4Ships
Display4Ships is a project funded by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia in the framework of the ROP ERDF 2014-2020. The aim of the Display4Ships project is to create innovative stand-alone, wireless, energy-efficient display solutions that integrate innovative display technologies, low-power data communication systems, energy collection and storage systems and LED lighting modules.
Visualisation solutions are useful for ship on board and living areas, where information must always be updated and available in real time, also to manage any emergencies, and, in perspective, for proximity marketing.
The combination of minimum energy consumption and applicability in different environments, both indoors and outdoors, opens up new opportunities for information display systems, which were previously not possible or were still considered too expensive compared to the benefits achievable in terms of performance.
The project aims at the development of two new high-energy efficiency products for the naval field, in particular: 1. an indoor display system; 2. an outdoor display system.
