The project Mobility and Knowledge - Local System for Continuing Education is funded by the Equal Phase 2 Community Initiative and aims to promote lifelong learning and good practices aimed at work integration and to promote recruitment and maintenance of employment for those who are victims of discrimination and disparities in the labor market.
The project started on 30 June 2005 and ended on 30 June 2008.
The main purposes included a research phase and a promotion phase. Through the former, methodologies and practices were tested for the development of human resources aimed at combating discrimination, especially in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises; among the objectives, moreover, there were the experimentation of models of transparency and recognition of the skills of the weakest workers and the development of methodologies and tools for the improvement of their basic skills.
The promotion phase mainly concerned the learning culture and was implemented through interventions in support of local sectors to adapt or create professional skills for the management of change processes. In particular, innovation processes have been promoted among SMEs as a form of accompaniment of market production changes.
